Negus

The word "‘NEGUS’ stems from the Amharic language spoken in Ethiopia(the only African nation that was never colonized).

Negus translates to ROYALTY and SOVEREIGN.

Royalty in a NEGUS means that we are naturally kings and queens. It’s your birthright to be regal. We are born rich in spirit. In this world we have been placed in we must hustle (make something out of nothing) to manifest what is ours. We must hustle to sit on our throne.

Being that negus is about sovereignty, a NEGUS strives to have a free mind and free spirit. Negus is about having independence from all the external influences that infest our garden with weeds.

NEGUS is believed to be the root of the word NIGGA. This shows the truth of our royalty being hidden in plain sight. We are unconsciously referring to one another as kings and queens. The truth of NEGUS is inherent.

The late great Pimp C said it best on the song ‘Fuck With Me You Know I Got It’. Pimp C’s exact words were: “A little over a year ago I was in bondage. And now I’m back out here, reaping the blessings, and getting the benefits that go along with it. Everything that’s out here for kings like us. WE THE NEGUS is the brand we are building for the culture, it’s the truth. What must be understood is that NEGUS is about holistic riches, which is to say wealthy in every way. Spirituality first and foremost, then mental, physical, relational, financial, emotional. All aspects of self comes together to make up the greatness of one’s being, the sum being greater than the parts.
